What is a vector file

A logo isn’t a picture. It’s a set of instructions.

A photo or an AI image is a grid of pixels: it has one size, and stretching it past that size turns edges to mush. A vector file stores your logo as shapes and curves, so it redraws itself perfectly at any size, from the favicon in a browser tab to the side of a truck, and any colour can be changed without starting over. It's the difference between owning a logo and owning a screenshot of one.

How does the AI part of the logo process work?

We use AI tools the way a designer uses a sketchbook: to explore a lot of directions quickly. From your brief we generate concepts, pick the strongest, and show you two or three. The one you choose is then redrawn by us as a vector: every curve cleaned up, the spacing and proportions corrected, the lettering set in real type. What you receive is drawn by a person, not exported from a generator.

What is a vector file, and why do I need one?

A vector file (SVG, AI, EPS, PDF) describes your logo as shapes and curves instead of pixels, so it can be scaled to any size, from a favicon to a truck, without blurring. It's what printers, sign makers, embroiderers and web developers ask for, and it lets us or anyone else change colours or layouts later. An image from an AI generator is pixels: fine on a screen at one size, useless on a sign.

Why not just generate a logo myself?

You can, and it's a fine way to see what you like. What you'll get is a picture: a fixed size, a baked-in background, lettering that's often not real letters, and shapes that don't quite line up. Our job starts where the generator stops: choosing well, redrawing it properly, setting the type, and delivering every file your business will ever be asked for.

What files do I get?

All of them. Vector masters (SVG, AI, EPS, PDF), PNGs with transparent backgrounds at several sizes, JPGs, and a favicon for your website. Each in full colour, black and white, so it works on any background. Start Up and Brand add the business card artwork; Brand adds the social media kit and a style guide with your colours and fonts.

How many concepts and revisions do I get?

The Logo package includes two concepts and three rounds of revisions; Start Up and Brand include three concepts and five rounds. Because the concept stage is fast, we'd rather show you strong directions than a dozen weak ones, and most clients land on their logo well within the rounds included.

How long does a logo take?

Concepts usually within a few days of your brief, and the finished vector files a few days after you choose one, depending on revisions. Business cards, social kits and style guides follow the logo. Brochures, flyers and wraps are quoted with their own timeline.

Do you design car and truck wraps?

Yes. We design the artwork to your wrap shop's vehicle template and specs, so it prints and fits correctly. If you don't have a shop yet, we can point you to one. Wraps, brochures, flyers, signage and anything not in the packages are quoted per project.

Can you redraw the logo I already have as a vector?

Usually, yes. If all you have is a small JPG or a photo of your sign, we can trace it into clean vector files so you finally have something printers will accept. Send it over and we'll quote it.

Do you print?

We design; we don't print. You get print-ready files (correct sizes, bleed, CMYK where it matters) and we'll work with your printer's specs. If you need a printer or a wrap shop, we'll recommend one.
